I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in some personal projects at The Queen Inn, outside of simply waitressing and proofreading documents.

They are some of my proudest achievements. Selling out two events to celebrate Samhain, which I personally planned, facilitated, and created promotional content for, and most recently, creating a range of Valentine’s cards featuring aspects of their logo.

The Queen Inn

Menu titled 'Samhain Feast' listing various dishes with descriptions and prices. The menu has mystical-themed decorative elements. Created using Canva, for The Queen Inn.
Lino printed Valentine's cards for The Queen Inn, featuring the duck from their logo, and the words 'I ducking love you' in green.

Valentine’s Cards

I created these two cards to sell at The Queen Inn using Lino printing. The cards themselves are made from recycled paper, with seeds embedded which can be planted. I chose these with Ryan, Manager of The Queen Inn, as it matches their ethics and branding, of attempting to be as eco-friendly as possible.

We chose green for the stamp colour for ‘I ducking love you’, to match with their vegan branding and the colour green being synonymous with that.

For the second card, ‘You’re a Queen in(n) my eyes’, we chose the colour gold for the stamp to match the gold of the crown on their logo, their signature font for ‘Queen’ and wordplay for in/Inn to yet again relate it to their brand.

Samhain 2023

One bored evening in 2023, the Samhain evenings were born. In the space of a few hours, I created a plan for the evening, menu, and created social media content to advertise it (all captions created by The Queen Inn).

I decorated The Queen Inn using handmade decorations, waitressed and worked in the kitchen for the evening.

The evening was fully booked, and replicated with a little more simplicity in 2024, following a brilliant response from customers.
